Custom Screen Install
If i was to get a screen thats not in-dash and wanted it custom installed, where could i go in the 757 area, mainly va beach area. Is there any place known for good quality jobs? thanks.
SOUNDSHOP did my 7 inch in my 2g eclipse but thats in hampton/ what size screen? how much work and will it go in easily? i need to make a plastic trim to cover up some exposed chrome but all in all i think they did a good job

well the screen cost like 200(bought from somebody not SOUNDSHOP) and then they had to take the screen's housing apart to fit it in the dash. the plastic panel on the right with the buttons is all that remains of it thats why you can see the chrome metal frame a lil bit. that cost me 75 dollars for the work and install.
they used plastic panels to make a box for the guts of the tv then used this high temp black glue to hold it together. depending on if the tv you desire will fit nicely will probably alter that price. there actually is no altering to the front of the dash piece and the tv can be removed and returned to stock but the tv wont be usable. 827-9405 ask for Jodi tell him kory smith sent ya. anything else feel free to ask.

If you are looking to have a custom setup done on your WRX like what is pictured in the 2nd post, there is a company that makes custom center controls that will fit a screen and still give the setup an OE look. I'm sure the place you take it to will know more details about that company.
