Can anyone drop in a new engine in a 1991 Grand Am?

My friend has a 1991 Pontiac Grand Am that has a blown engine. They are looking for a used 4cyl engine to be installed for $1,000 for engine and installation including a 30 warranty on installation.

Anyone up for it?

For a $1000 you can buy a running 91 Civic.

Ill put it in without the warranty. I've done it before, so I know what im dealing with.

Ill do it for $500.

EDIT: For installation.

I agree but my friend has a sentimental attachment for this car so they want to put a fresh engine in it instead of buying another car.
