That sounds like a good idea, the tourny part and everything. But come on now, the GN is a very heavy car, all steel body panels, no fiberglass, full interior, and working A/C. So lets not get all worked up about it. The only thing done to it to reduce weight was adding aluminum wheels and getting rid of the steel ones. I am also running full exhaust system through mufflers, no cut out.
So we gonna have to do this at the $$ hangout place or take our chances at one of the spots, Im down either way. but like I said, Im willing to throw in a lil $$ to keep it where no one goes to jail or gets a ticket.

 

so how much money are we talking here. earlier 200 was mentioned...but now ALOT of poeple are down to run, so is 200 the going rate? or is it lower now that theres more people?

 

I dont mean as a qualifier to run, Nugget said something earlier in the thread about giving some guy like $20 a piece to hang out on his old runway or something, thats what I mean

Oh yeah, if we end up doing this it'd probably be at the privately owned air strip where Adam knows the owner. The guy wants $20 to let us run there, but that is not per person... that is total! You figure if we can do this in a mature manner we can ask $1/car at the entrance, owner of the property gets all the cash. If he asks $20 and you give him $50, he's more prone to allow us to come out for longer period of time and for alot longer than every saturday for 2 months then call it quits.
However I am pretty sure at the same time he will have some sort of waiver that needs to be signed releasing himself and the organizers of this event from all responsibilities for anything that happens on his property.

Nah, that was just 1slowsi joking around about running ws6formula50's GN for $200. If we end up doing this tournament and maybe all the contestants want to toss in $5/each winner takes all thats up to them. But i personally am more about doing this just for fun, cause i certainly know my SC S2 isnt going to take on a car such as MR2NER

Well Adam (Turbo98) is the guy who knows him, Adam is leaving tonight for 1 month. So it will be at minimum 1 month before we can even speak to the owner of the property about setting this up. I know my S2 will be down until early-mid july anyways getting a few new parts installed, as will your GN. But i'm pretty sure we'll speak about it more in detail this coming weekend or weekends to come at the meet spot. I'll be be out in the daily beater.

and i wasnt trying to drop 200 bucks, but i think people would easly drop 20 a car to go out on the strip. i know i would. i pay that much to goto the track, so going on a 1 1/2 mile air strip for the same price, and closer isnt a problem.

what is a problem, is, well obviously waivers will have to be made...and how is the surface on this strip? im not trying to go 120mph on a fucked up strip..
