Alright. Had to bust out one of my car windows in order to get the keys out of it, car was left running and somehow my door locked. Had to get the keys because it was behind my girlfriends parents cars in their driveway and the locksmith couldnt come out until 10am tomorrow. Anywho I'm driving a cobalt and the window they busted out was the driver side rear window(its a 2 door so its a smaller window) Just curious as to about how much it'll run to get repaired and how soon some shops in the 757 can have it done.

Give your insurance a call, if you have a de-ductable you can get it replaced for cheap from like glass masters or the window doctor.

 

I'd rather not go through insurance for something minor like this because I need it done ASAP and I don't want to get the run around from them. I'll pay the money out of pocket just looking to see round' abouts what it's going to cost to have it fixed in a timely manner.

Unless your deductible is $500+ I'd just go with that. When my truck was broken into I just paid mine ($100) and didn't have to do anything else. Safelite came out to my house while I was at work and fixed the window for me, picked up the check I left in the glovebox and left me all of my paperwork.

 

Only reason I chose the small one is because it was pouring down rain and I had to take my car home about a half hour drive.

Ritz- with safelite, how did it take them to come out once you had contacted them?

 

It happened on a Sunday and they were able to come out Tuesday morning. It didn't really bother me because I don't really drive my truck, but IMO that's still fast for a buisness like that.

 

I called Insurance, they contacted Safelite, and later that day Safelite called me. The next day they were at my work replacing my windshield. I also love my $0 deductible.

 

Indeed that is very fast. It's not really a big deal how long it takes since I have another vehicle I can drive but I'd rather it be done quickly instead of having to wait a bunch of time to have it in a shop.
