Bought a new Truck. THIS THING IS BEAST
Recently I sold my 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 V10 with a long bed. This thing hauled some s**t. We used it for 2 seasons and put 40k miles on it during that time. It had its ups, but it also had its downs. We had to change a fuel pump at a gas station on a Monday night in South Carolina on the way back from Florida; 3 or 4 times had the trans cooler line break or come off and spewed out gallons of fluid on the New Jersey Turnpike, hotel in Maryland, pulling out of my driveway. This thing has had the trans rebuilt ($1600), changed front brakes/bearings ($500), needed tires ($400), valve cover gaskets replaced (involving removing the entire intake plenum/coil packs). That’s just what I did. That doesn’t include everything else it needed when I sold it (2 cats, headlights, license plate lights, both bumpers beat to hell, big dent on rear left of bed, and more). All that, but it had 234xxx miles, so it definitely lasted a while.
I decided to sell the truck and get into something newer. with warranty. with less to worry about. with coverage.
I went around and looked at some trucks online and in the area and decided I wanted to step into a new Tundra. I called up my favorite Toyota salesperson Chad (Black Nugget on here). I went into Checkered Flag Toyota and between him and Lawrence, they got me an untouchable deal. Before I signed, I wanted to take the truck home and test it out. Because I was going to be towing my race car, I wanted to see how it would tow my trailer. That was no problem and I was able to have it for 2 days! The customer service was GREAT!!! I was taken care of with every need, every question was answered, and I felt like I got a good deal. Between the 2 of these guys, I was on a podium as a customer.0
I ended up purchasing a 2008 Toyota Tundra Double Cab, Long Bed with the 5.7L. I got the LineX Xtra (color matched same exact Dupont color code as truck), deck rail system, cold kit, tow package, license plate bracket (cleaner front look), and Chrome bumper. Since I’ve had it for only 1 week, I’ve put 350 miles on it towing 4 times already. I love this thing. I did not want to finance a stock DVD/Nav unit, so I am about to purchase a Pioneer Avic D3 which a few Tundra owners have done with great success. Also, Black housing headlight mod is next. they look sweet with it. (check the last 2 pics)

haha. he had the bumper line-x'd too. I dont know if i can do that to this mint bumper, but i do know thats an option for me down the road if need be.
