Thumbs down Re: Body Shops...anywhere in the 7 cities.

Whatever you do, avoid Cutsom Body Shop on Jensen drive in VB. They gave my wife's car a real shitty paint job & underestimated the cost to repair her car. Wound up costing more than the car is worth to fix.

I know those people. A close family freind used to own that place and he came deathly ill and had to sell it....I had my car done there before and after the sell...needless to say I will never go back there!

Tim's is supposed to do some great work, I've known a few people that have been really happy with them.. They aren't known for being the cheapest, but their reputation is good apparently.

bowditch ford in newport news painted my super coupe white with blue pearl did great job.worst place to take it to is coxton's auto body in york co.that is the crappiest body shop i've ever seen anywhere.they screwed up the mother of my baby's eclipse real bad.they welded new quarter panel on and didn't align it at all before they welded it and my mom's car just recently.my mom didn't ask me before taking it somewhere.she got the car back looked my stevie wonder did the body work and the paint job.lol ...front end was still over about 1/2 inch.they never put it on a frame machine..so fenders or bumper cover or headlights basically nothing lined up in the front.also the bumper support was screwed up too and instead of replacing it they just threw new bumper cover over it.i use to work there when i was kid and that place still hasn't changed.took my mom's car back and those 2 jackasses jr and glenn come out and is like what's wrong with it?it looks good.i laughed my ass off.i said look at the hood ontop of the driver's fender(i mean rubbing against eachother) and the 1/2 gap between the hood and passenger fender.oh ya i guess it is messed up.along with hair all in the paint and the color nowhere near the same.wet sanded the back door and didn't paint it.it's the same as when i worked there he tells everybody to turn the cars out fast and half ass everything.cuz usually it's a woman's car and as long as it's shiny they will take it.anyways jr and glenn blow can eachother till there blue in the face.you can't screw people over but for so long time word of mouth gets around.i hope you get the message before you make that mistake.

Good Price and Quality are rarely used in the same sentence when getting a car repaired/painted.

Between cost of supplies, and labor, quality paint jobs get $$$.

Not like I would know about writing estimates or anything.
