Black WRX on 264 yesterday
I've already said over and over that they DO work. I'm still a bit lost as to what the argument is here. Are you saying that they are as efficient as ANY of the other power adders (turbo, CSC, Nitrous)? I thought it was fairly common knowledge that from the heat and parasitic loss, they aren't that efficient. I guess it depends on what we consider efficient considering the gasoline engine is only roughly 35% effcient itself.
I was simply pointing out the one big motor big turbo car I know of in the area. I'm sure my point was understood. As far as your comparison TooCoOl... I would expect there to be a good 7-12mph+ difference in traps between the two mentioned cars (but could be wrong).
Cliff notes: Roots type blowers, whether it be twin screw or not, are not as efficient as the other power adders (especially on gasoline powered cars).... if you don not understand this... grab a book. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one to think this.
