Benchracers of the 757 - Come AutoX already!
I might show up.
I agree that autocrossing is one of the most fun things you can do with ANY car. Higher HP will not help you out if you're a novice on most courses. Hell my Foxbody with maybe 190whp at 3200lbs that is basically stock is overpowered for the chassis and suspension.

The Fox in stock form is definitely a hand full! But it's amazing what these cars will do with heck, $1k in suspension work.
It's awesome when you can come out to an auto-x and actually drive the car hard, and then you can tell what you actually NEED to do to the car, not just what's 'cool'.
Yea deff sounds fun. I will deff get my own helmet you prob dont have one to fit my big ass head anyway.lol. I amgoing to read up on all this info and see if my car will even pass tech first. I know I am violating the batt tie down already.lol.. Thanks for all the great info and I wouldnt mind asking you a few questions about where my car would class at if thats alright with you
You never know, we are taking about racing cars - you'd me amazed at the size of some people's heads

Yeah, the link in the first posts has TONS of info about preparing for the event, the rules, schedule, etc. Make sure to get that battery nice and snug!
Once you decide you are ready to come out and are ready to register, drop me a PM. Let me know what car you want to bring, everything you have done to it, and I can let you know what class your car is in. Alternatively since it'd be your first time, you can also run in the novice class, with all the people who are new too. Either way, drop me a PM and I'll help you out.
axles-smaxles!

:highfive!
Absolutely! With the torque of a 'Lude, you will have tons of fun, especially going down the back straighaway. Not exactly fast and furious, things start to get blurry fast, but I'm sure you will enjoy it!

Especially with over 200 lbft. I have shy'd away from Langley so far, anything with a wall worries me but I've been told they are safe.
Can I take a passenger? I'm trying to get my GF comfortable w/ the hobby and understand what it's about. Hot laps at VIR aren't exactly the way to do it.
Yes, you can take a passenger. They'll need a helmet too.
To the OP: Does NASA allow tinted visors on helmets? I was denied use one time at a SCCA (IIRC) event.
And LOL at Floda's 240.
