I bought a bottle of JWB for a coworker, so I know the price, and I have seen bars charge anywhere from $50-$100 for a glass on the rocks. Sorry that I insulted JWB for suggesting that it be served as a shot.

 

I've had JWB in shot form on more then one occasion. I'm just saying I don't think Bardos is going to charge $100/shot when an entire bottle costs twice the shot.


The reason I say this is because I know the price of a lot of bottles on their menu and never once has it been anything close to that. The woodford I was drinking last night was 5.5/glass on the rocks and a bottle on avg. is $35/ish.

True, but that won't be a meal. I didn't eat a lot (not more than a typical entree) and would have probably spend $30+ (without the three beers/tip).

The food at Bardo is great. There is probablay 100 things to chose from too. The dining experience is different for someone who has never been to a tapas style restaurant, though. You can't order one appetizer, entree and dessert. You have to order a couple of each. Remember that steak thing you and I had? It was only three small slices of steak. That was an entree.

Exactly...that's worth every bit of $100/shot seeing as how it's a $900 bottle of scotch.

I'm blown away that you actually have anything of that caliber behind the bar. Not to say that it's not worthy of it but honestly... how many bars in the 7 cities would even think about putting that back there?
