Last night i was closing @ Autozone on Jefferson Ave. in Newport News. At approximatley 8:55 a customer pulled a gun out and put it to my back and announced that the store was being robbed. He pushed me back into the office at gunpoint and told my manager to open the safe. He got away with over $1300 dollars.
The guy was a young black man, about 5'7-8" around 160-170lbs, dark skin, wearing a black t-shirt, black dewrag, blue jeans and dark shoes. He may have also been wearing a wife-beater underneath the shirt.

If you have any information on the person who robbed my store please contact NNPD or pm me, and it WILL be kept annonomous (sp).

And for anyone who knows this asshole, tell him to watch his ass, and if he ever comes back into the store he will be leaving in police custody or on a strecher, so help me god.

weak man i always go into the autozone on jefferson i didnt know you worked there. i remember just a week or so ago a dude was outside helpin a customer and the manager told him he has to stay inside after dark because it wasnt too safe. i didnt know it was that bad. were there security cameras?

 

no there are no cameras.

the guy closing at advance auto said he saw the same guy about 10 minutes before he hit our store. they have a camera. but it "wasn't on" what kinda bullshit is that...
