Anyone know where I can get a plastic 55 gal drum?
call your local quick lube they have them most the time for washer fluid or antifreeze and will give them away you will need to clean it out but it would be free.

55 gallon plastic barrel for $10.00 each. They are available in blue and white.They have two 3" threaded screw off plugs on top. These are excellant for rain barrel. They can be used for many other things as well. Don't recommend these to be used to hold for human consumption, safe to use for animals. They contained a food grade cleaning chemical that becomes harmless when diluted. 757-604-4851

Update I picked up one today over at the GI place over off 17 in yorktown today. They had like 100 or so on the side of the building and it was $18.90(with tax). Thanks guys

Yeah I figured that was about the going rate. I paid a little under $10 for mine but that was also 10+ years ago. They're good for all kind of things. I use mine for rain water collection but my buddy made a floating pier out of a few dozen.
