Anyone have a recommendation for a good Marriage Counselor?
The wife and I have been together 11 years. Met when we were 16 & 17. My best advice is to sit down and talk about whats bothering you. You dont need another person in the way, it hurt us more than it helped. If the two of you cant sit down and be truthful, even if its not the nicest conversation, then you probably dont need to be together. You can grow two ways in a relationship, together or apart.
A cruise is a very good idea, we went on one and were able to talk about alot of issues we wouldnt have if we were home. There was no extra stress there so it lightened the mood quite a bit. We did this 4 years ago and have had maybe 2 arguments in that time. Before it was atleast a big blowup every other month.
Good luck to the both of you.

On the real, I never knew some many people on here had marriage issues. Maybe it's just a Driven thing, or maybe it's just that much more prevalent than I thought.
I know how hard divorce is so I wont joke this thread.
Here is my advice - read the books by this guy together as a couple....

Ask for Dr. Wayne Smith. You can read up about him on the staff page.
He's only at the location on Independance Blvd, at Town Center.
Good luck, and my wife and I will say a prayer for you and your wife.

That's the best advice I've seen here. I never understood the point of shrinks and counselors and all that and my wife has a Master's in psychology. If you can't deal with your own issues/problems, how is anyone else going too? And don't say sometimes it just helps to have someone to talk to because for the price it costs, go to a bar and talk to a complete stranger and save some money.
