anyone have a newer beckett?
Damn right. I have a whole binder full of Don Matingly cards and I know one was worth like $500. That was when I was like 14 though. I have to try and find em now and look that shit up.
I would just browse one at the mall and they do have stuff online, but I think you have to pay for it now. I would check eBay and see what they are going for also.
I used to collect baseball cards religously. I stopped buying them because all the new shit coming out was like 4 cards per pack and there are WAY too many inserts and subsets to worry about know. It seems people are only interested in the newer, flashy cards and the old ones don't have the value they use too.
It has to really be and all-time great and a rookie or first years to be worth anything anymore. I have my '94 SP Alex Rodriguez BGC 10 stored someplace safe for a downpayment on something big one day.

I have a toybox full. Seriously. Like 10,000 cards or so. Me and pops were religous about it back in the day, but just like MAD DOHC said, shit got out of control with pricing, sub-sets, etc and we just quit. On a side note, what's everybody's most prized card? Mine is a limited edition autographed Reggie Jackson that Upper Deck put out in 1990 or so. I was so hyped when I opened that pack, lol. Ah, the memories. I also got some top name rookies that are worth some good money, too.
Ahhh...baseball cards. I collected from when I was 7 to like 16, like 300,000 cards no joke. I have Ozzie Smith rookie cards, 3 Griffey Rookies, A-Rod rookies, everything. Also have like 15 complete sets of mid 70's to 80's cards. The value of most cards has been steadily decreasing over the years with less and less people collecting, the only ones with true value now are those of unique years and players.
