Starting (cranking) batteries like red tops have a lower internal resistance than deep cycle batteries, because they're meant to do different things. Starting batteries are more power on quick demand, and deep cycle delivers less power but over a much greater time period. Deep cycles are also a lot more resistant to repeated charge/discharge cycles, like for trolling motors on boats where you can flat drain the batteries and charge them back up. If you want a battery to start your car and run your amps, get a red top. If you're going to be running your amps for a long time with the car off, get a yellow top.
If your lights dim, you might also want to get a cap, yes. Your alternator won't help that, it only works for constant current draw. the alt won't help with the transient current peaks that make your lights dim, that's all down to your battery and the wiring for your amps, good ground, etc.

Just because your alternator is brand new doesnt mean your alternator can handle all the electronics you have in your ride.

Then please explain why my lights dimmed with a 60-amp altenator and when I switched to a 130-amp alt. with the same battery, they didn't dim anymore.

fabrik is right. although they do make a yellow-top starting battery.. but its the group 51's (the ones that fit in civics)

if you dont find any used optimas, i do sell brand new ones. although a lot of the YT's are on backorder, i could price you a few reds. lmk.

optimas are pure junk there quality has sunk down to that of APC almost like other have said you need to upgrade your charging system

caps are like putting bandaides on broken bones

if ur dead set on getting a battery look at odyssey

Caps aren't band-aids, they're supplements. It's true that they're somewhat useless if the amp you're using has enough bulk input capacitance in it's power supply, but you're a fool to argue that they don't work. How well or how much they are needed depends on the setup. I agree that a bigger alt is the way to go IF you're maxing out your stock alt, but if you aren't, theres no reason to get something different. A couple hundred watts of amp power isn't going to max out the stock alt (unless it's already going bad) and no matter what, you're stull going to get resistance-based voltage sags during transient current draw unless you have huge power wire and a huge ground. It's physics, pure and simple.

What are you basing you Optima quality opinion on? I've been using Optimas for a long time and haven't noticed any difference in quality at all. They still work great and handle a lot of abuse, same as ever. Odysseys are nice also, but what's your vendetta against Optima stuff?

By the way, do you already have any amps, are your lights just dimming with no non-stock electrical load?
