Long story short I was on my way back from trying to find the BMW meet crowd in pungo this weekend and got pulled. I was on princess anne rd going 50ish, looking at my gps plugging in my schools address to get back home. I have never really been down that way and did not realize it changed from 45/55mph to 25 and back. Got pulled for 51/25 and tint.

I have no problem paying the tint because it is 35% in the front, but I'm really worried about the wreckless driving ticket. I'm 20, male, first ticket. My parents will get our lawyer involved but I'm wondering how big of a chance that I might get my lisc. taken away for a couple months. Anyone that has been in a similar situation I would really appreciate your input.

And before it's said, no I was not street racing on curvy pungo roads. I really was just looking at my GPS not paying full attention.

If it is your first ticket and you do get a lawyer, he'll just probably take them your driving record. Then you might be put on a probation; meaning don't get a ticket for a certain time frame and this one will be dropped.

my last reckless driving, which was my my 5th or 6th in the last 5 years was a $125 fine.

 

Ive heard the probation story a lot for those speeds, and up til third offense. Sorry you missed the meet/ pungo.

 

i got a 92 in a 55 a lil while back and got my liscence suspended for 30 days and had to pay 230. but that was before the law change thing in june or july or whenever that was.

 

i drive past the courthouse 2xs a day, where does it go from 45/55/25? If your coming from the Ampitheather, it goes from 55/45/35/25.

 

Damn that sux but you got some balls hahaha. That place is packed with cops 24/7. Hence "courthouse". haha
