Holy cow stop...the train left you. There are plenty of single dogs that are perfectly fine...Not everything in the world has to have some "friends" to lean on to be happy

I'm an animal LOVER myself, I would never want to put one in harm's way, so don't think that. My wife's puppy is 10 months old now, she didn't see the dog park her first time until last month.
Thats understandable...but these people with big ass yards can chill out there..its much safer...and besides..you never know when someones dog decides he wants to eat you..or your dear little fluffy.

The park in Florida I am speaking of has two sections, one for small dogs, one for large ones, so they at least take that into account...hell, you work with dogs, you know that the little ones are are the ones you gotta worry about. No joke, I saw a little mini-dobie OWN the entire big dog lot, it was the funniest thing evAr.

And as for the mental health thing, I agree that it's not a necessity...but it's a nice treat for them, so maybe I used a bit too much context, my bad.

Its kind of a drive for you, like 20 mins, but over here in Hampton we one called a Bark Park(lol haha get it ... nm) any who its located right next to Buckro Beach. Pretty nice place; its got alot of obsticals like they have for agility contest on TV in there so your dog can get work out while having fun. You have to get the dog registerd and get proof that it has all of its shots. Its great because not many ppl know about this particular park since its kinda out of the way near the beach, i take my dog there all the time and he loves it.

Then mini dobies are fuckin mean...almost as mean as a chihuaha. Pound for pound Chihuahas are the meanest dog in the world IMO. I have never seen my dog back down from anything then again he isnt mean at all and treats all animals nicely until they try to attack him or someone from my family. He backed a couple of full grown rottys down when my brother was walking him and they ran up and started barking and growling at my borther. He told me that our dog(who wieghs a little over 100 lbs and he was about 8 or 9 months old) got down and the hair on his back raised up and he let a deep growl out and the rottys just turned around and left.

I love my Luie Dog(his name is Luigi...an american golden retriever with an italian name, go figure) and I would take him out somewhere but he runs enough in the backyard and my dad takes him to the neighborhood park everyday. Whats wrong with princess anne park? Are there no dogs allowed there or something? There are plenty of places for a dog to run there. I should take mine out but he always dirty.

no offense meant or anything, but you see all the sick dogs if you work in a clinic, you don't see all the healthy ones that go to a park and don't get sick... Do you know the percentage of dogs that get sick @ a park though?

woodstock park off of providence road has a dog park. fenced in. you have to go to animal control or something and get a tag for your dog that says "experience the fun" or some shit. ill ask my girlfriend tonight where you can get the tag.

Me too! I am a Vet Assistant next year, A TECH!!.. No more of the Kennel Attendant job now! There is a new park in Hampton in Buckroe and one near Sandy Bottom. They want some type of record of something.. I wasn't sure.. I thought it was more than the rabies.. I am not sure. But I know it's safe in those 2 places. Puppies, poor things, there immune systems are so weak.. their like human babies. They need a lot of money and care.. It's hard going to work and putting down a 8 week old pup for Parvo.. That's something I don't ever want to do.
