I'm telling you, if I was as light as some of the other dudes, I'd be stupid fast. I just cant get any speed on the straights, I run *****s down once we get to the twisty bits.

 

you really arent slow. like i have said. i dont catch you in 1 turn like other people i think i counted tonight, it took me 5 turns to put my kart within tapping range....



but i aint fast.

 

I know but im sayin. Every time I was behind someone, I'd be all over them in the corners, but as soon as it would straighten out so you could get some speed, they'd pull away because they were 100+lbs lighter than me. If I had the straightaway speed to go with the turns, I think I'd be pretty damn fast.

 

not sayin your slow.. or your weight isnt whats affecting you.. but some people think the same thing because the person in front of them HAS TO SLOW for the twists allowing (you) to catch up. speeding off and pulling away at the exit usually means they took a better line. if you took a better line thru the twists you would be pushing them all the way until the karts straightened out and then power/weight took over.

thats just all based off my own exp because i have chased down and passed many lighter riders.. and heavier riders have also schooled me thru twists.
