well typically when you spend that kinda of cash on a bike, your nose tends to rise up a few inches and you start getting sticks up your ass. it's more or less a status symbol. like buying a ferrari or bentley.

 

But what makes it so funny is that most of them cost almost twice as much as comparable Japanese bikes and aren't nearly as fast.
At around $10,500 the Suzuki GSXR1000 or Yamaha R1 can destroy the Ducati 999.

Plus Ducati just as awful build quality, granted no to many sport bikes are going to make it past 35,000 miles without rebuilding something but Ducati had issues in 2000/2001 were pieces of the rocker arm would actually sheer off. This affected 1 out of every 20 bikes they made and they would cover it the first time it happened under warranty but if it happened again they wanted the owners to pay for it.

Ducati may kick Honda's ass on in the GP Superbike races but the Japanese own them on the street.

I don’t think I ever said I didn’t like Japanese cars or their products. I simply don’t like jackass high school kids and their 22 year old equivalents who think family sedans are fast because they can rev to 8,000rpms.

 

I have no problems w/ imports at all. Just stupid punks. Actually, there's plenty of stupid punks driving domestics too. Basically, I hat stupid punks that think they're slow cars are fast and do stupid mods! Personally, if you take a slow ass civic and make it run 14's then that's cool. Making stuff faster is cool!!

Well, carter, spinndrift187 and myself were headin back from drifting in richmond. And i guess some hillbilly had dropped a bag of trash in the middle of the road and I didn't notice it until *BOOM* too late. So my front bumper is cracked all to hell, and my fenders need to be redone. It's all fixable, but it won't be out very much for a hot minute. Just when I almost had enough cash for an SR20 too
Maybe the domestic guys will like me better while I'm driving my V6 S10 Xtreme. haha But I'm still down to meet up and talk about making things go fast, even if it is a mini truck
