Classified Changes
If they're motivated sellers, they will take the time to split up their items and put them in the appropriate sections. I can't stand "part out" threads.
so if i have a thread with a list of stuff for sale i need to break it down and sort out the parts into the correct categories? or is there a certain place i can put the whole list? please pm me and let me know asap
Yes, you should split up older posts that covered a broad spectrum. If you have multiple parts that fall under one category you can include them in a single post. For example "F.S. All motor B series parts" can include stuff like cams, a built head, intake manifold, pistons, etc etc, in a single thread.
However, there is now no place for a blanket thread that covers random parts from bumper to bumper on a single vehicle or to cover multiple vehicles.
The point of this is to make it easier on potential buyers to find the parts you are selling. If you want to sell your parts, it will behoove you to take the time to post them up correctly and in the appropriate places.

correct.

The next big change to the classified forums is the requirement that you select a thread prefix when creating a new thread. There is a drop down box in front of the thread title text field which lets you select from the most common types of threads made in the classified forums: FS, WTB, FT and FS/FT.
Please note that you do not need to add those prefixes to your thread title, the forum software will add it automatically.

Regarding threads where you've used attachments to add pictures to your post you have two options.
- The best option is to just upload the pictures again when you create your new thread. However, this will use up more of your image quota so you probably want to delete the old attachments. You can do that through your User CP.
- The other option is to use the ATTACH tag. However this is not optimal as you'll see in the example below.
- Here is the original post with the attachment I'm using in the example
- Here's the link to the actual image that is attached. You can get to this by right clicking on the image and telling your browser to open it in a new window.
- The part you'll need for the ATTACH tag is the part after attachmentid= in this case 39455
- So my ATTACH tag would look like the following:
- However, this will result in the following in your new thread: Attachment 39455
