Default For you DSM guys

I have a 95 gsx and the car absolutely will not hold an idle. It dies as soon as i let off the gas. Adjusting the idle with the set screw at the t/b does no good. any thoughts on what it could be or what i should check?

Any help would be appreciated.

Check your timing, the belt may have slipped or the tensinor* may be messed up, My bf (cootees) still needs the right tensinor* his 95 gst idles horribly. My 91 Talon did the samething and low and behold the timing jumped and bent ALL OF MY VALVES. so i would check that in addition to what everyone else says.

Ummmm DSM girls too

All good sources here. Hopefully you know how to check some of these. My guess is your ISC isnt dead as it doesnt have an awkward idle, just simply no idle at all. Does the car want to stumble? Will it fire right up? If it fires right up Id say its not ignition related. Have you checked for boost leaks (no really boost if its at idle, but just huge huge leaks in general. A large intake charge pipe leak will cause the car to die.

Just go ahead and post up some symptoms or what you have found thus far and try to test a few of the things we've mentioned. Id imagine we can diagnose it pretty easily.
