I don't believe them yet.
That's what the older people around here are saying. All of the snow up here already has been melting, but if it stays cold enough itll freeze and snow on top of that.

i saw on the weather channel today that it may get cold enough to turn to snow only. it's supposed to start late Thursday night and go until Saturday night. didn't hear any amount prediction though

I've been telling people that one of the regional guys from VDOT came into work and said they're expecting up to 46".So far,it's worked pretty well.
Earon has been calling her friends in California,rubbing it in their face about how we're getting this huge snow(They'd never seen snow,except when they've been out here visiting).She hasn't bothered actually looking at any forcasts.
Technically,8" would be up to 46"-right?

well right now they are saying this storm is dumping between 2 and 5 inches of rain, depending where you are. and 5" probably = close to 30" (probably less) of snow. this could be the snowpocalypse.
