Default What are the specifics for NB and Shelor?

As far as the quick 8 goes? I am building a car to make some quick passes Not mainly for that but I would like to fit into the specifications so I can beat some ass next year. I need to know what are the exact specifications, like can any import car enter as long as it is full interior? I mean shit I could show up with a 1000 hp Supra and still run and it be fair as long as it was full interior? Also what is the fastest recorded pass at either NB or Shelor for an import car? Thanks guys.

I know that was just hypothetical about the 1000hp Supra, but do you realize how much money it costs to build a durable 1000hp Supra? Buy a house, instead.. if you have that kind of money.

No I don't have $100,000 to spend on a Supra, I am just asking a question about what are the rules, and I just used that because a 1000 hp Supra at a place like that would mean for no competition, that is why I was asking if that is alright. Are there any engine specifications, like certain engines you can't use in the cars?

Who are you? And why say I am talking about a V8 FC? If there are no tire limitations you can make anything grip.

You don't think a 1000hp Supra would have competition? You realize that the highest horsepower Supra's are typically built for the dyno only and are dyno queens made for bragging rights about how much power they make--not how fast they are, don't you? A 1000hp Supra might make a 10 second pass. I know of Honda's that could even put up a fight against that.

Just remember.. Horsepower is somewhat irrelevant when it comes to drag racing. You can make 3000hp and spin all the way down the track.. That doesn't make you fast.

And yes, I said it's somewhat irrelevant. I'm sure someone will contest that fact, but in reality, it's true. It's a big factor, but if you can't get your car to hook up, horsepower doesn't make a damn differnece.

No, a 1000 hp Supra would not have competition. The best 1/8 I have seen at NB or Shelor was a 7.4 I think by that damn 240sx. Are you guys saying you can't have slicks or drag radials, because these cars will hook up at NB with the right tires.

Do people really believe Supras are just dyno queens? So why are they so fast on the streets and in the NDRA? Oh, yeah, because they are dyno queens.

Here is a time some guy ran on stock twins. Damn slow ass dyno queens. Doesn't even make 500 whp.
"My best pass was the last one which was an 11.2 @ 118mph on MT street radials and stock wheels."
60' 1.62
1/8 7.20 @98mph
1/4 11.2 @118mph

Another stock twin car? HotSoup on supraforums.com, maybe 530 whp.
1.559.....60ft
4.50.......330
6.96@100.26....1/8
9.093......1K
10.873@127.28

6's in the 1/8th! Dyno queen!

Now how about a 1000 hp car?

60' 1.542
330 4.198
1/8 6.394
mph 112.83
1000 8.278
1/4 9.891
mph 139.11

Yeah, there is a lot of competiton at NB and Shelor for that.

HotSoup on supraforums is even trying to dip into the 10.5's in the 1/4, which is about 6.7 in the 1/8th. So where is that around here? Show me and I will be surprised.

Oh yeah, that is on stock twins with a shot.
