What the hell is going on?
I leave drag for a few months and get back on, and eveyone is getting along what the hell is going on... Just joking, I see some of the people are still around. How are everyone and their cars doing? Also we should plan a meet sometime for the begining of Feb. More of like a cruise thing. I found a nice ride from 40west to the end to rt 8 then through the parkway to roanoke. If you kinda like the curves and straights through the country side this would be your time to go. its about a 250mile round trip give or take depending on where you live. If there are people up for it I will make some plans. But I know how drag used to be so I expect slight flaming.

B. I dont think many of the cars would make a 250 mile cruise without something going wrong or breaking or someone crashing.
C. Sounds like a neat route, but why not do about 50 miles of it?
A. I dont know of many guys who are up to putting a quarter of a thousand miles on their car (a full tank of gas for a lot of us) just got a whole day cruise. The cruises we go on are usually an hour or less (sometimes 2-3 if we stop for a photoshoot)...and usually around 20-40 miles long.

This is what I had in mind to haha ...
I wouldn't mind doing something like that, I'd just need to know a couple of weeks in advance to take the day off of work. It's always fun to meet some other car guys who just want to ride around for a bit!
And to whoever was complaining about the length of the drive, if your car can't stand the rigors of a 250 mile cruise...maybe you should be spending a little more time in the shop!

I've actually been thinking about this... I have to say, it would be fun. Route picking would play a part, but so would traffic, luck, gas mileage, driver durability, etc. It'd be an adventure... but of course, it would be a "speed competition" across states, federal offenses, which equals federal pound-me-in-the-ass-prison.
I think it'd be cool to have like 4-5 teams of two people, two per car. All leave at the same time, everyone put in $100, and winner gets the pot or something. No major betting.
I think it'd be really fun, but it's illegal, so we can't do it.
