Default waynesboro ticket

my first offense in 4 years.

i got pulled for 76 in a 65 at 10pm in some county/city called waynesboro

the trooper new and was with a "supervisor" or whatever you wanna call him and was asking him a lot of questions like what to write on the ticket and such...
The newb was asking me my ethnicity, address, age, weight after i handed him my license and told him i just got it renewed in april. after every response he would tell the "supervisor" and he would mumble something.

just wondering if its worth taking to court and if i do go to court, should I get a court appointed lawyer.

i dont think theyll give you a court appointed lawyer for a minor traffic case like that...i dont know though

but even if you dont get a lawyer, definately go to court. show the judge that you havent done anything wrong before and hell probably just give you probation, given that the officer says you were cooperative and polite

its prob not worth taking to court in all honesty but at the same time, if you have nothing else on your record, you could try to fight it. they may let it slide some b/c it was a new trooper. but yea you wont get a court appointed lawyer. thats for criminal stuff

btw waynesboro is not 30 min eat of roanoke..its like an hour and half north then east..its near charlottesville
