The July 4th Tea Party is On!!! Elmwood Park, Downtown Roanoke 3 to 7 p.m. Enjoy the Band, Speak Your Mind!

About the Tea Party
Who belongs to the tea party? Most of us have never been involved in politics, other than voting. We are just concerned citizens that see Washington destroying our nation. We are not affiliated with any political party, but we will work with any political group that supports our agenda.

Our Vision
Some key items we all agree on:
  • No more bailouts! The US government has wasted trillions of dollars propping up failed businesses
  • Reduce the National Debt
  • Revamp our broken tax system
  • Stop excessive regulations of business
  • Create a sane energy policy
  • Protect the country from our foreign enemies
  • And most importantly, follow the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States

Our Goals
  • We will be working with other concerned citizens to ensure that candidates for upcoming state and federal elections will further our core values. We will do this by:
  • Educating others and ourselves on what our candidates stand for
  • Educate ourselves on issues and the Constitution. We must lead with knowledge.
  • Support effective candidates during every step of the election process
  • Develop protest/boycotts and civil disobedience to voice our displeasure with our Federal Government. The Government works for us, not the other way around.
