Re: powdercoated valvecover....
i forgot which forums i posted it to.....won't happen again, honest.
Jason coated it for me. turned out reall good. its harder to coat evenly with powder then it is with just paint. but paint cost so much. and this stuff is pretty tough to dropped wrenches.

Re: powdercoated valvecover....
did you polish it before you coated with a candy? or just blast it?
wondering, cause i have had issues getting candy coatings to stick to a polished finish and work right. it looks good (from teh small pic at least )

Re: powdercoated valvecover....
cool. i usually have to dip them to get the base to stick, but i have heard of people doing a full polish, but not doing the final buff, and then coating over it with a candy coat (basically a tinted clear) it has to be perfectly clean though, otherwise it doesnt stick that well.
got any bigger pics? or a close up?

Re: powdercoated valvecover....
Hey joey you do PCing now? I thought nick said you bought his stuff from him. If so, I got a valve cover Id like done if you're looking for a little side money. That is if you're good at doing it yet, I dont know how much coating you've done so far. I'm sure you remember my experience with the previous PCing I had done. This time I think I just want a black coat with a polished lettering look, and maybe a clearcoat overtop. If you're interested let me know.
