4g61-t came in 90-92 mirages and lancers, they also had a non turbo version in the elantras. Its has a little bit less displacement than the 4g63, but doesn't include balance shafts :thup:

4g61t is a 1.6 jdm motor.exact same as a 4g63 but 1.6 and a shorter stroke for higher revs!john ripple at TRE or team rip engeering loved this motor.he said if i could have welded the wastegate shut i would have.i had to part out my 2.0 build and i bought the 1.6.my friend dj at etmotorsports.com dynoed on a 245000 mile 1.6 with a 60-1 at 20psi made 301 hp with a shit tune.i just want to see what it will do and dyno day is nearing very soon.thanks for the replies on the mirage.i worked my ass off on this project that it starting out as a 1.5 single cam automatic converted to a same swap as a 4g63 and 5 speed turbo fwd trans and ecu.
