Lol....Never thought of it that way but oh so true .........well that settles it one of you need to go ahead and invest into building a local 1/4 mile strip

Yes we need a local 1/4 track in this area! Something cheap and easy that will get these kids off the skreets. :P

Seriously though... someone with some land want to invest in a nice 40 foot wide patch of blacktop thats a mile or so long with some timing devices??

Shit. There are plenty of quick cars that run 8th mile. I have seen street-ish mustangs w/boost run in the 5'90s at the bridge.

The sad thing is,even if the land was available it would take an act of god to get it approved!......at least over in the county of my origin.....

Charlotte is only 3 hrs away and it has one of the best 1/4 mile tracks in the country

30 mins up the road to the bridge/shelor > three hours to & fro from Charlotte. But yeah, I agree if you have the time and the cash to roll to a nice qtr mile, by all means go.
