Havent had ONE single problem with them in the two years ive been here. Never even seen one trying to catch someone speeding. I get looked at sometimes, but nothing serious. You guys have any problems with them?

 

Yeah! When I'm riding my bike under the fucking speed limit they still will tell me to to slow down, just b/c it looks expensive (ok...so it is..) If you're gonna call me a car, threat me like one!

But no problems when I've been in my car!

 

I watched someone getting pulled over by a bike cop the other day, thought that was kinda funny.

How shitty would it be to be a bike cop, it's like a complete bitch slap to the face when they hand you that bicycle and helmet

 

Yeah it is! And from the attitudes most of them have towards bikers and cars on campus, they're quite disgruntled about it!

 

Have you ever been on 460 after dark? Good lord I've seen WAY to many cars pulled there. Though as far as harassing or anything like that I haven't had any problems.

460 towards christiansburg = not a good place to speed

though the cops dont seem as bad here in blacksburg...cops are cops no matter where u are in VA. they can be assholes, and they can be cool. depends if they give u a break or not.

anywhere on Toms Creek = not a good place to speed
anywhere on campus, and main street = not a good place to speed.

just my observations.

 

Anywhere with a population greater then 5 = not a good place to speed. I haven't had any problems with the police here in the semester I've been here, but I also keep my speed pretty low around town.

 

I roll there daily around 7:00 in the morning on my way to work and about 4:30 on my way home and have yet to see a cop.
