nice!!!leavethe wing off-that's the only part of that car IMO that points to the era it came from.otherwise i think the styling still looks modern.
is there any reason he went with a car from that far away?surely there was one for sale closer?i know they seem to be plentiful in NOVA.

Yeah I agree that the wingless look is very clean.

The reason we went with one this far was mainly due to the scarcity of the exact type we wanted: Smaller single (T61 or T67), less than 100k miles, Black, Targa, 6spd....When you get that picky then you have to expand your range. There were a few on this side of the country but they either had too many miles or were in poorer condition. Also, the Supras on the West Coast - because they're so plentiful - can be bought for a few thousand less than on the east coast...although that money gets eaten up by having it shipped over.

Hahaha, yeah we went with a T67 simply due to streetability. My dad wanted something less laggy than the T78 on the RX7, so a 60 series turbo was right up that alley.

With fueling + C16 + cams the setup is good for around 700whp. Thats plenty. Stock cams and stock heads. If we go with cams we'd most likely go with 264s, they're good for another 40whp+-.

The motor was pulled and rebuilt while the owner was having the turbo kit installed/tuned. The motor was fine prior to that, but he had it taken out and redone because he was totally anal about everything. Headgaskets, Valve gaskets, TB, water pump, etc...all of it minus the bottom end. It has the HPF bronze sprung disk/RPS Pressure plate/RPS CynRG LWF - all rated at 800whp. HKS Carbon Ti 3" catback. We could always upgrade to a straight 4" exhaust, but it still shoots flames as is.

Everything is controlled via a MAP 2 Piggyback.

.
you've now got a lot more displacement for out of boost power and to help spool a bigger turbo over the FD....might as well use it.
700WHP Supras are a dime a dozen

might i suggest:

No kidding! An 800whp Supra is nothing special anymore haha.

I've seen that video before, thats a ridiculously large turbo!

This thing looks like it wants to rip off the dyno...

Well in cali on 91 craptane gas it put down 486whp@17psi. Stock fueling.

It may do a tad better on 93 here + the colder temps, since its winter time and it was dyno'd in the summer.

Pump runs would be great. You gotta promise not to run Alky you alcoholic.

We just need injectors, fuel rail, fuel pump and another tune and it'd be good for much more...(~550 pump and 650+ on race)
