I am just messing with you bud. i work for NS on the Poca. There are several NS people on the forum. To answer your question I know my fair share about that damn gray book.

well I hope to be an engineer within the year. I am next to go to school but they are trying these damn remotes and they have been cutting jobs. So it is hard to tell.

 

Have you guys been seeing any of the DP (radio trains) trains yet. We are getting a lot of them on the Poca and I hate em.

 

They talked about them in rules class today. I haven't seen any. I am getting really sick of NS treating us this way.

That sucks. I know NS is a hell of a place to work, and especially to retire from, but the uncertainty would absolutely kill me. I guess it can be that way anywhere, but you always hear about Norfolk Southern letting people go.

Most people I know that retired from the railroad are living pretty well.

 

I don't know why, but the thought of that sort of creeps me out.
