I asked that aswell... He said they would have his car done in 2 weeks.

They were going to charge him 1000 for motor install plus any parts.

They ordered the parts so what the HUGE concern is the charges for fabrication on parts that they ordered wrong for his motor. He knows hes pretty much stuck with everything else.

THat's why it seems fair to get the 1000 back for fabrication and s/h etc. AND put all the correct shit in his car free of charge also fix the mounts and crossmember that the master tech F#$@ up.

well.......it boils down to the fact he didnt maintain contact with them as to what they were doing, etc.. i am not taking anyones side here, but if he had talked to them daily (or semi-weekly, bugging a person doing work on your car is never a good way to get somewhere with them...this i know. ) he would have had to see what they needed to do, etc.

it appears to me that the tstat housing needed to be clocked a little to clear the header, i dont think they broke it and then rewelded it..but i may be wrong. i agree that the mount issue should have never happened, any good tech will realize something like that is wrong, and fix it before it leaves (i would, if it were me doing teh work....but i wouldnt have done that nasty looking shit on the car to start with...)

did i read that correct that it was a grand for the header?! wow....i am gonna reread that invoice to see....but that is alot, esp if they had to modify it to fit.

*edit* sweet jeebus! damn...

six and half hours to install a set of cams and gears while the engine was out of the car....

not to mention that header wound up costing around 1500ish? fuck....

not....gonna.....comment......on stupidity....

I agree. I am by no means a master mechanic, but I do have some common tool knowledge. And, I assure you that I could install cams and gears on an engine out of a car in less time than that.

stu·pid ( P ) Pronunciation Key (stpd, sty-):
adj. stu·pid·er, stu·pid·est
Slow to learn or understand; obtuse.
Tending to make poor decisions or careless mistakes.
Marked by a lack of intelligence or care; foolish or careless: a stupid mistake.
Dazed, stunned, or stupefied.
Pointless; worthless: a stupid job.

sorry....when it comes to something like this, it boils down to someone not knowing what is going on, and if someone is going to spend that kind of money on something to be done, and they dont do their homework....that is pure stupidity.
