Me: "Yeah, I know what that's like"
Him: "No, you don't understand what it's like with real power"
Me: "Yeah, ok, take it easy man"

As soon as he said that, I just couldn't talk to him anymore. I wanted to tell him that I was putting down over 100 more hp at the wheels than he makes at the crank, and that my truck would easily take his car (in a straight line), but he wasn't worth the time or effort. Now don't get me wrong, I'd trade my truck in a heartbeat for a Ferrari, just hate that freakin' attitude. Dude, you own a 12sec car, come down off the high horse.

With cars like that, the arrogance really doesn't come from the owner thinking it's fast... it's more of a stigma than anything. It's a feeling that consumes the owner because they get that kind of attention anywhere they go. People look up to them.

My uncle has an insane car collection, but he's the most down to earth person I've ever met. They will all be mine one day, but I'd hate to ever have something happen to him. He's got several exotic cars, and one of the nicest private collections of Corvettes and muscle cars and hot rods/street rods I've seen in person. It's not exactly on Jay Leno's level, but it's pretty impressive to me.

Anyway, exotic cars aren't about being fast. It's much more than that. I just wish most owners would lose that stereotypical attitude you referenced.

But you can say that about almost anybody who thinks there car is more than it is be it a Civic or 360 . I have to admit if I owned a Ferrari I would be a bit arrogant about it but at the same time a Ferrari is my unicorn

Haha, if I were in your shoes, I don't know if I would have been able to contain myself. I probably would have laughed out loud in his face! You should have asked him to race for pinks

I would have asked why he pussed out on a 360 - getting the poor mans ferrari.

Then I would stress the fact that he should of gotten something that actually broke the 400hp mark. In addition, I would sarcasticly respond that "You dont look like the ferrari type, roanoke, ahh big baller are we?..."

It was hard to resist taking him down a notch or two. Not that it would have done any good, cause even after I beat him, he would still be driving home in a Ferrari LOL But I'm usually pretty laidback, so I just let it slide. The most exotic thing I've taken down so far is a 996TT, gorgeous car. Dude was driving the piss out of it, and he was cool about it, not stuck up at all.

Zero, your uncle sounds like a cool guy. I like people that can have that kind of stuff and not let it go to their heads.

That wasn't you on Elm Ave a few hours ago was it?

I was behind/beside a Dakota with a pillar gauges and the exhaust seemed to be running through the rear bumper. Never seen yours as far as I know, but I don't often see modded Dakota's either. I would almost swear I heard a hint of a whistle when the truck started moving, so I'm assuming the gauges were functional.

You?

The cool thing about my uncle is that he's an old fashioned hot rod guy. Most of his street rods he built himself, with the help of friends. For years, he's been trying to get me to come spend the summer with him and he said he'd get me started on my own Corvette if I would just come spend the summer in Kentucky! lol. I just can't do it!

Nope, not me, I'm currently floating in the pacific on an amphibious assault ship Plus my truck is up on jackstands with the engine torn down to the block lol I'm curious tho, what color was it, and was it a Club Cab or Regular Cab? I haven't seen another Dakota with any serious work done to it. I know of two other R/Ts in the area, but they're both pretty much stock.

I've rode in a newer, modded 360 Modena. Not that fast by any means, but sounds like sex at full throttle. There were a couple members at the Waterfront and Waters Edge (SML) that had some exotics. I've actually never saw a 550 in real life. Or a lambo... Man I'm sheltered.

Go to any large city - especially in CA. But places like Richmond, Atlanta, Charlotte, DC, etc, are where you'll see the exotics here and there. FL and CA are crawling with these types of cars. Also, hang around the lake some more and I gurantee you'll see some sick cars.

My neighborhood at SML has some pretty sweet cars, you just hardly ever see them out of the garage, haha.
