Re: wheel to wheel racing
There only a few people who actually run w2w and they are not in this forum very much. Members FlimFlam, Racin Jason and Driftwizard race with NASA and thats the only ones I know. FlimFlam run a B13 SER in PTE, Racin Jason run a Diazio and Drifwizard runs in Spec E30 and is very fast. Alot of other guys track as students or instructors. And GETFAST works with both NASA and TrackDAZE.
Hope this helps

Re: wheel to wheel racing
Yeah, I'm just a hack, I can't afford to race despite being around racing like 100 days a year and having more track time under my belt than most racers, hahaha.
Although that may soon change... depending upon the economy this year I may end up with enough spare pennies to put together this car's uglier twin sister:

Unfortunately, it would require selling this first:

Anyway... paging FlimFlam. He's a real race car driver.

Re: wheel to wheel racing
Cool, I was just wondering as I'm planning to get into more serious racing. Seems like there's more NASA guys here then SCCA. What are the pros/cons of NASA vs SCCA?
Also, any sites where I can get more information?

Re: wheel to wheel racing
SCCA is a club, NASA is a business.
SCCA allows people to race after 2 weekends of licensing schools, NASA requires people to graduate through the HPDE program first.
For racing specifically, NASA weekends usally offer more seat time than SCCA weekends.
A great time can be had with either organization, or both.
My best advice... go to events with both organizations and don't be afraid to ask questions, just about everyone you will meet at the track is very friendly and helpful.
