Question staggered vs square setup

I was just wondering what you guys prefer as far as auto-x/drift tire set up...

Right now on my Z I'm running 235/255 and I was wondering if a square set-up would be better. I know it has a more natural feelings and less tail drag; but I'm on duty and bored so I figured I'd ask the ppl who know.

Thanks for your time..

I used to run a 350z mostly at the track and some occasional auto-x. I went with a square 275 set-up on 17x10 wheels.

Square set-up's are the way to go for that car especially at a auto-x. The car tends to push at low speeds and a bigger front tire helps out with this. Plus you can rotate the tires and get as much wear as possible out of them.

My E36 M3 stopped understeering at autocrosses the same day I went to a square setup. Coincidence? ;-)

ps- what is "more natural feelings and less tail drag" ?

not a tech term by any means...basically what im saying while running my staggered in just feels like im dragging my rear tires around corners.

no no..Im well aware of oversteer/understeer

The rear just seem heavier/sluggish because its wider then the front IMO

So the back end of the car won't rotate relative to the front? That's called understeer ;-)
