Pungo Drift?

After searching I realize that these events aren't held anymore because the track was getting more expensive and less and less people were showing up, but when was the last time someone tried to put an event there together? I'm really looking to do an event this summer, but drift nirvana is too far away and this would be my first event so I'm going to suck haha. Pungo would be the best because it's more of a practice than a competition. I know about lookoutdrift and slideways online, but the next lookout event seems a little to high caliber for me and the next/only slideways event is drift nirvana.

Is there anything that can be done to promote another Pungo event?

Yeah that's the event I saw on the lookout forums. It seems like a sick place, but I mean how would a noob with no track time do at this event? I have coils, sway bars and some other suspension stuff but my vlsd turns into one tire fire pretty quickly. I just don't want it to be a waste of 125 bucks.

you will have a ton of seat time and experienced drivers available to help you in any way you need. its worth the money. plus its a non spectator event so you wont have to worry about people watching.plus this track is not like a "real" track in the sense that theres nothing to hit. its an awesome place to learn

Well the only way to get better is with seat time. I know for some people the price maybe a little too much, but you will definetly get your monies worth. Driting is not cheap. Change your diff fluid with some redline gear oil.. Thst shloud fix the vlsd. Or find me an open diff and let me weld it for you.

You will learn so much from the veteran drivers that you will quickly find we are a bunch of cool doods. Everyone is open to give you tips of you need them. Nate brasz "formula D driver" will be out there sliding with us. You can ask people for ride alongs to help you out.

In that case I might just have to make sure the 240 is running top notch haha. How many sets of tires do you usually go through at an event like this? I have like 2 extra sets of wheels so I guess I can throw some rubber on those for spares.

Edit: I also have an open diff laying around, I might just have to get you to weld that.

Stock KA?

IF they are new ....2 extras

Re: Pungo Drift?

Well it's a stock KA but it's running my turbo tune...so 370cc injectors and cleaned up tables. I don't want to risk putting my turbo stuff on then something going wrong so I might wait till after this event to boost it.

You should be fine with the ka power wise. Your clutch may not like it.

Ok, I'm gonna talk to the parents and make sure they are cool with this, then I'll pay whoever is in charge of the money. How would I go about sending a copy of my birth certificate to Dan?
