Default PRO series (non-SCCA)

this was posted on the vmsc board. i found it pretty interesting

Last year, a lot of people nationwide were asking for more national level events. Precision Racing responded with a nationwide series (http://www.precisionracingorg.com). If you are looking for some good competition with the chance to win some money/prizes, you might consider the trek to Nashville. I've heard nothing but praise for the event style and management.

PRO ranks the drivers after 6 runs on course, and the top 75 on index move on to round 2 for two more runs. The new scores are indexed, and then the top 25 get two more runs (round 3). Again, any improvements are noted, and the top 10 duke it out for a final two runs.

Overall, the top 25 drivers on index receive contingency money from TireRack. The top 10 drivers on index also receive Invotion certificates good for webserver and domain name registrations.

Go to http://www.precisionracingorg.com for more on the schedule (4/12-13, they are at BeaveRun, in Pennsylvania, and 4/19-20, they are in Muskegon, Michigan), for entry forms, etc. You can run one event without even being a member.
