Sorry I cursed you. Another thing to watch out for. Make absolutely sure those braided lines are not touching anything soft. My friend installed a cooler just like yours and zip tied one of the braided lines to one of his power steering lines and it ended up sawing through the power steering line. While loosing power steering is not critical, it makes a big mess.

Thanks again. I was just kidding about the curse. It is kinda funny to think of someone with a little green matchbox sentra and poking holes in the tires and stuff. I did make sure it was not touching anything

We always used to use to the filter adapters that were machined out of a piece of billett aluminum for that reason. They were always more expensive, but with the cheaper filter adapters you had to carry around 2 or 3 all the time as they failed with regularity. The ones I used were from Stock Car Products Inc. or BSR

Thanks for all the comments. I decided to only run the cooler during the summer/during HPDE events as I do a great deal of short trips and the oil does take longer to heat up. When I took it off (only took the adapter plate and the hoses off) I am pretty confident that the leak is coming from the plate. I did not tighten it down supper hard so I am sure that is the reason why. I am thinking of using a small amount of gasket seller to help the seal work with out needing too much pressure. Not sure if this is a good idea or not. Also, on the plates that cracked where they the generic ones or where they Mocal plates. Also, it would seem that a crack would lead to complete oil pressure lose and total engine failure. That is a little scarry.

For 1500 I can get an entire engine for my nissan that puts out 190whp and 220 with just basic I/H/E NA. 230 is not that impressive for a turbo engine.

Hotshot makes a turbo for the GA16 now. About 165whp I think. A lot easier and cheaper in the end probably.
