GrassRoots Gets Bent on a B15
For all the Sentra guys (Axelerate) check out this months GrassRoots Motorsports Mag. Good artical on page 143. The only thing I see that I had conserns with when I had my SpecV was they are measuring each side as they bend. Mizels in downtown Norfolk can do this and it is legal for autocross. I looked into this very heavly and its within factory specs to be 0 toe.
So GET BENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Odd, in my GRM (May 2004), on 143 is an article on a Bio-Diesel BMW. Was this in Aprils?
And if this is the article I think you are talking about, I doubt its stock legal, since it might not be outlined in the Tech. Service Manual.

It is? Factory specs don't have anything to do with autox rules. I can bend my LCA to get some serious camber, doesn't mean it's legal.
I'll bet bending the rear axle puts you in a Prepared class at best.

I feel that it could be legal if the bend was mabe as a repair
If the car were to say have slid into a curb during a winter storm and slammed the rear hard. You take the car to the dealer and he recompend that you replace the rear bar because its now bent. Then he recomends you take it to a frame shop and have it bent back. As a recomended repair it looks to me that it fits the rules.
This is just a made up scenario. BUT........ if this were ever to do this it would have to be legal for all.
Just my oppinion.

I believe that if this is a method of repair as stated in the factory workshop manual (or TSB) to repair crash damage then (and only then) would it be stock class legal. And then it would probably be to factory spec, not pick and choose specs.
All of us know our classes so well that if another CS miata showed up w/ what looked like 3' neg camber up front, he would be protest fodder in a Nationals scenario. I'd have no problem locally, until you beat me .
AS far as STS,SP etc, I don't know if it's legal...
