how many car are on track at one time? Will there be track Marshals or work assignments at all?

Re: Driftwater 6.1 4/25/10

usually 3 cars on track at a time, 25 car limit for the event. no passing. there are no track marshals or work assignments, its pretty much open free running the whole day and drivers are to follow rules laid out in the drivers meeting . the facility has its own track safety and medical crew.

it is made clear in the drivers meeting the way things run.
  • everyone lines up at the front gate
  • 1st car goes
  • 2nd car waits about a min.
  • 2nd car goes
  • 3rd car waits about a min.
  • 3rd car goes
  • 1st car comes in after its laps (no more than 3)
  • 4th car goes (as long as spacing is ample)
  • etc....

There may be more cars on at once for this event due to the whole course being open.

as i stated before, you will not find another event (autox,hpde,drift,etc...) that you get as much driving time as you do at these events for the price. i mean you can literally get 3+ hours of driving here in the one day. i know at most of the other ones that have been held so far there are no more that 5 people left running at the end of the day because people literally get tired of driving.
