Drifting & Time attack at Shenandoah speedway 2013
This year White Smoke Motorsports is sponsoring Drift events and time attack at Shenandoah Speedway in Shenandoah, Va. It's a 3/8 mile oval track with compound banking of 12, 10, 8, and 6 degrees in turns 60 feet wide. Straights are 375 feet long with 6 degrees of banking, and has removable barriers in the middle. Were going in as a group and renting the track so the more people we have the cheaper it will be, Spectators are free to come with. We will be preregistering so if you want a spot let me know. Were going for the same deal as last year which is $550 rent on Fridays 3p.m. - 8p.m. A full schedule hasn't been reached yet, the more people we have the sooner we can get the ball rolling. We are also looking for a tire machine at this time, If anyone has one then let us know. Either we can work out a deal or it can be brought and will be free advertising for that business.

We have decide to add time attack as another way to get in the action we have the track why not use it to the fullest

This isn't the best picture of the track, but posting some up would help your cause. From the photos I've seen it looks super smooth and nice pavement wise. Some people (like me) might conjure up images of ODS when they think of VA oval track drifting, lol....and this place is clearly not the case!

Track is recently built and was the owners dream to have one someday, so he put a good amount into the track. It's a nice facility. They also do motocross next to the track.

Damn...3 hrs from us. But Knoop, how is this different from ODS. I thought ODS is an oval track, with a full in lay, looks pretty much like this one...

Old Dominion has steeper but rougher banks with the transition to infield mostly eating bumpers. Shenandoah Speedway is newer, smoother, and seems like you can go faster at this track. This is very friendly for slammed cars.
Old Dominion has gravel run-off so tracks can get dirty quick. Shenandoah is all pavement in the infield. I wouldnt be able to provide insight on speed, as I only drift 100HP cars there. It is definitely fun and worth going. It does eat a lot of tires quicker, so bring all tires you have. Here are videos of past events at the same track to give you an idea of what the track is like. To provide HP numbers, the lime green e30 is 600HP, the white e30 is 350HP, and the Rising sun AE86 coupe is 100HP.
