I am curious about this too. I heard some guy at the last drift practice say that he bought a snell 2000 helmet at wal mart for $80...

Check motorcycle shops maybe?

If you are looking for a autocross helmet it needs to have at least a SNELL 2000 rating on the inside. It will say M2000 since it's a motorcycle helmet. I got mine a long time ago at the Honda shop on Virginia Beach Blvd.

Walmart might have them, just make sure it has the rating on it.

Yes... the brown Snell sticker inside, not just the DOT lettering on the shell.

The bell helmets are 80 at wal-mart. Also, for like an extra 20 bucks you can get a plain gloss black HJC helmet from cycle world for around 100-110 depending on how big your head is haha.

Check out page 2 (click the green "next" button at the bottom.) Those are all Snell M2000 rated, starting at $62.99.

Are you looking for a motorcycle helmet or helmet for use in a car? Just be aware some places/events don't accept M rated helmets. Most often don't check though.

OG Racing (noVA) has a nice selection of helmets, but they're obviously more expensive.

Depends on what helmet you want. Open faced or closed faced helmet

you can get crazy graphics on some of the closed faced helmets.

If you buy a helmet on E-Bay make sure the date of the helmet is up to spec. if you are going to race w/ it.
