Anywhere have a Open track night in NOVA?
I heard someone say there was a track called Willow Point or something like that. I have my track car collecting dust. I am due to leave this area soon. I don't think i can sell it. So i am going to turn up the boost to 16psi and try to blow it up or put it in the wall.
Tired of running this thing on shitty solo events. By the time i start to spool its braking time. I run the whole course in lagging. Is there anywhere that has open track night on Fridays?
Everywhere i have been used to do that. Street cars allowed on track you just needs a helmet and fire jacket.

...But neither of those are open on Friday nights. You would need to sign up for a full day or weekend event, such as:

Hope it helps,

In my opinion, if you are going out to wreck or blow up your car, I really wouldn't want you to particiapate in one of our events.
Maybe you are joking, I dunno.

Cool Summit point has Seat Time and Open practice. Got to get my log book together and i'm ready to roll.
VIR doesn't really have any Open Practice except for upcoming event. Kinda weird usually tracks on weekends are open for free runs. Usually 100 bucks too 200 is crazy. No one must show up so its steep.
Thanks for the info.

Your logbook will need to contain a valid roadracing license, instructor certification, or recent and significant Advanced-group experience to get into one of those non-instructed Summit events.
VIR has their own open practice days but you need to be a VIR Club member. They're running 'em all weekend this weekend, in fact... for their members only, which is $$$. NASA runs 'em too... VIR-Full next Fri 2/23 for example... but you'll still need one or more of the qualifications listed above to be able to register.
100-200 bucks a day is cheap IMHO. As for nobody showing up, it's just the opposite... hundreds of cars at a time actually... they're very popular.
I've never heard of a road course being "open on weekends" for "free runs" and I've been around this stuff for nearly a decade now. Where do they do such a thing? I only ask because I want to move there.
Confused (and no offense intended),
Jon
