ZX350.4 Kicker Amp?
Looking for some advice on this amplifier for my setup. Here is my current system layout:
Brand - Model # - Sensitivity - RMS Power Range - Peak Power Handling - Impedance - Freq Response - Size - Type - Location
Kicker - (05KS69) - (92 dB) - (5-90 Watts) - (180 Watts) - (4 Ohms) - (30-21000 Hz) - (6" x 9") - (2 - Way) Located In The Rear Sides
Kicker - (04SSMB6) - (88 dB) - (8-125 Watts) - (250 Watts) - (4 Ohms) - (Low - 30 Hz High - 500Hz) - (6 3/4") - (Mid-Bass) - Lower Front Doors
Kicker - (05KS20) - (92 dB) - (95 Watts) - (190 Watts) - (N/A) - (4500-21000 Hz) - (3/4") - (Tweeter) - Top Dash
Kenwood - (KFC-ST30) - (90 dB) (N/A) - (120 Watts) - (5000-25000 Hz) - (1") - (Tweeter) - Upper Front Doors
Here is the information on the amplifier:
KICKER ZX350.4 06ZX350.4
RMS Power Output: 350
Peak Power Output: 700
Signal To Noise Ratio: >95dB
Frequency Response: 20Hz-20kHz
Input Sensitivity: 250mV-10V
4-channel car amplifier
60 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (90 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms)
175 watts RMS x 2 in bridged mode (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)
120 watts Peak x 4 at 4 ohms (180 watts Peak x 4 at 2 ohms)
350 watts Peak x 2 in bridged mode (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)
Variable high- and low-pass filters (50-200 Hz, 12 dB per octave)
Variable bass boost (0-18 dB at 40 Hz)
Top-mounted controls
CEA-2006 compliant
Speaker- and preamp-level inputs
Fuse rating: 20A x 2
8-gauge power and ground leads recommended wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
--------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not looking for an amplifier that will make my system the loudest on the block, that is not what I am after. I am after the ability to listen to my music with good high quality sound. I have been nothing but impressed with Kicker in the past, that is why I have stuck by them with their product.
I have a 12" Solo Baric that I will be adding to the car when I complete my components setup but I would assume that will have it's own separate amp. An all in one amplifier would be nice, but I am unsure if there is something out there that doesnt cost and arm and a leg to power everything. So with this 06ZX350.4, is it the right choice as far as Kicker has to offer?
------------------------------------------------------------------
Cliff notes:
Is the ZX350 a good selection to power my current compents?
Is there a better option out there offer by kicker?
Is there a Kicker amplifier that can handle all of my components listed above and power my 12" Solo Baric L7?

Re: ZX350.4 Kicker Amp?
If I were you, I'd use that 2-channel amp for the interiors and run a a Kicker Class-D amp for that Solo Baric. I used to have an L5 hooked up to a 2 channel Kicker amp, but when I switched it over to the 750W Class-D...it would bang with tight bass.

Re: ZX350.4 Kicker Amp?
Not to jump off your Kicker bandwagon (I've had VERY limited experience with Kicker Amplifiers, but I am a fan of their L7's and components), but how do you feel about polk audio:
Polk PA1100.5 5-channel amp
5-channel car amplifier
85 watts RMS x 4 + 280 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (125 watts RMS x 4 + 400 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)
250 watts RMS x 2 bridged output at 4 ohms + 600 watts RMS x 1 at 1 ohm
3-, 4-, or 5-channel output
CEA-2006 compliant
variable high- and low-pass filters (50-500 Hz, 12 dB/octave) on 4-channel section
variable low-pass filter (30-250 Hz, 12 dB/octave) on mono section
selectable bass boost on front, rear, and subwoofer channels (8 dB at 40 Hz)
subsonic filter on mono section
MOSFET outputs and power supply
optional wired remote volume control
LED/fan connector powers optional external fan and LEDs
fuse rating: 40A x 3
4-gauge power and ground leads recommended — wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
26-5/16"W x 2-9/16"H x 10-1/4"D
warranty: 1 year

I would definitely recommend a 1F capacitor for this setup. The amp is a little pricey, but quite capable. Not quite sure what kind of price you can get the 4-channel and mono amp for, but if it's equal to or just under the price of this amp, I would give it serious consideration. The only "downside" of this is that it limits upgradability, but it will give you a very clean install, simple wiring, and will ensure all your music stays in phase.
Just my $.02.

Re: ZX350.4 Kicker Amp?
Ive been told to check out Zapco amps as they are pretty nice as well.
Im gonna attempt a custom molded fiberglass enclosure, if it doesnt come out like I want, then I may give you a call, thanks.
