Default wobbling sound when slowing down?

When I start slowing down it sounds like something is wobbling out in the front. No other issues in driveability and the steering wheel doesn't do anything out of the ordinary when slowing. Anyone know the issue? Car is a 2001 VW gti.

Probably wheel bearing. It does it when you're slowing down at all, not just applying the brakes, right?
Any wobbly noises at different speeds?

yep slowing down with and without brakes. No other noises when accelerating or at a steady speed.
