wiring up radio

Default wiring up radio

ok, i have a new stereo in my car..it works and everything but it just won't hold presets after i turn the car off then turn back on, stations go back to default. any help would be greatly appreciated.

it came with a wiring harness and all wires are color-coded correctly soooo idk...

Make sure that you run the yellow wire straight to +12v (memory) unswitched source. The Red wire (Switched ignition) should run to the ignition.

No...they're not.

Somewhere it's not connected to an always hot wire so that when you shut it off, the radio loses the memory.

Try rewiring again.

lolz check your back up fuses and radio fuses if its wired correctly possibly could be that

what kind of car is it? allot of newer cars you have to run a constant power to the main ignition harness for an aftermarket radio to get 12v stock radio runs off a lower input
