Default Wiring trouble, need some guidance. (E30)

Make: BMW
Model: 325ES
Year: 86

Okay, so I removed the dashboard on the BMW to fix some of the cracks in the dash. Well stupid me, I forgot to label wires (so I partially deserve this). But at this point I'm running into some problems. The dash is back in the car and MOST everything is wired up. So, here are some of the problems: The windows don't roll down (automatic, near shifter), the gauge cluster isn't working except for the lights for brakes etc. No gas, temp, tach, or speedometer, and finally the left turn signal is stuck on the left signal. If I put on the hazards, then it still doesn't turn off, only if I turn the clicker to the right will it go to the right, if it's in the center then it's stuck blinking (exterior lights work also).

Any insight would be appreciated, as I am horrid with anything electrical.

I'm assuming everything worked before you tore it all apart?Did you cut wires and now have to splice them back together,or did you actually unplug the various connectors?
Anyway, you need a chassis wiring diagram. You may find one on the internets,or you could buy a shop manual for your car.I'd recommend buying a shop manual,as it'll help you do anything else to your car,and will be a big help in identifying the various wiring issues you're having.

Yep, everything worked. I did have to splice ONE single wire. It was in the way, but I put it back together pretty well. So I should just go through the wiring diagram and that will show where wires go (obviously)?

That's why I asked if you unplugged connectors to separate the dash from harness as opposed to just hacking wires. With a little looking around you should be able to figure out where various plugs go based on looking at the mating components(most of the plugs will be unique)and where the length of the various runs of wire will locate the plug(once you lay the harness out the plugs will naturally reach to the general area where they plug in).
A shop manual will at least have wire colors and component locations,so you can look at wiring colors on a particular plug, and then cross reference that to what component it plugs into. Some manuals will also have illustrations of plug shapes, which will help further.

Your original post said most of the harness was plugged back in,so get any remaining plugs installed and see where you are. Some of the issues almost sound like a ground problem,so make sure any grounds that bolt to the chassis or components are also back in place.

That's what I'm worried about, I have about 7 wires, I believe 4 go to the head unit, which still isn't in since I need hand room.
