Default why is my car shacking?

okay. i got a 00 hatch. i took it to the track a couple months ago and when i left, my car started shacking side to side really bad. i couldnt go over 40mph. so i figgured it was just one of my tires got off ballenced or something. so i took my wheels to get ballenced and they told me that i had bent a rim. so i bought new rims. it was fine for about 3 weeks untill i decided to spray it. as soon as i let off the gas the same shit started hapening again. and i know i didnt bend the rims again. i have sence put my rims on my brothers car and it rides fine.

has anyone had any experiences like this? a couple people told me it is probably my axles or cv joints but everything looks fine. and i dont want to start buying parts unless i know i need them. any imput would be appreciated.

Thanks: Jeremy

Love shack, its a pretty ol place where...we can get togetherrrrrRRR love shack babyyyy.

Could just be your axles. You should take it to a shop and "borrow" their lift and do a undercar inspection.

good advice. i work at kramer too so it's really good. 1. it could be just a simple outter rod (12 bucks at bap geon) and 2. before you guess. put the front of your car up on the jack or just a side at a time and shake not shack the wheel back and forth. if it shakes and not shacks (ok i'll stop) back and forth bad look where the shaking is coming from underneath. there's your problem. other than that i can get my man rico to check it out for a small fee. in newport news. pm me or somethin.

odds are it is a bad CV axle. I had pretty much the same symptoms in my Prelude after spraying on it.

jesus christ. a bad inner joint on an axle will normally only cause shaking under acceleration. chances are you have a fucked up inner/outer tie rod end. get it up in the air and check play side/side and up/down. up/down play shows a worn out wheel bearing.
