Who runs a oil restrictor? (Turbo honda)
Hey whats up?
I have a question I cannot seem to get answered. Who here runs an oil restrictor on their turbo charged Honda? The reason I ask is, I know our oiling systems probably push over 50-60psi of oil and I could have swore that the adequite pressure for a turbo was 16-20? If I don't run a restrictor, won't my oil seals blow out quicker? Please give me more insight
Thanks!

it depends on you lines, if u have like a -4an line u might need a restrictor. if u brought a brand new feed line kit u may have to drill your own hole. make sure u dont make it too big

I thought it was just the ball bearing turbos that needed the restrictor. cartridge"bearing" style turbos were the ones that didnt require one. Correct me if im wrong.

YES YOU NEED ONE. the only ones that do not, are a few stock turbos that had them built into the turbo oil inlet. www.function-7.com thats where I got mine, and all my friends. and tons of others on d-series.org. If you do not, you will blow the seals out pretty damn fast. this is what u need...

part # 350015046408. $17.99 + shpping
they also make an outlet to.
PS a good reason this gets mixed up, not all engines that add a turbo require it. Honda engines just make alot of oil pressure, which turbo seals do not like.
