Default What if I cut an O2 sensor?

I was wondering... What would happen if I cut an O2 sensor heating wire on an OBD 1 computer. I know it would throw a code, but would the fuel curve stay liek it should, or will it go into "limp mode" as they call it?

My O2 has been fuckin up on me lately and throws my car into a bad fuel curve. I know that the car has it's own fuel map before it relies on the O2 sensor. If I cut that out would it help me stay out of running shitty?

if you " disconnect " the o2 then the ecu will go into "limp mode" and will run pretty rich. it does this to keep the motor from running lean and damaging anything.

Well what I was shooting for was to try and keep the signal wire, but not let the O2 heat up to working condition. But I don't know, I'll reset the ecu again and see if that works.

the o2 sensor will heat up to operating temp once the engine is started and run for a few minute. you will still get a check engine light due to the ecu not seeing a proper heat signal from the o2
